1:00pm – 2:30pm :: Regency E

Presented by: Alan Brawn, Brawn Consulting
Sponsored by: Almo ProAV
RUsCTS: 1 CTS-D: 1 CTS-I: 1 Max: 1

This course looks at the part that projection screens of all types play in the integration process. It begins with the science of light, color and the human eye and how each of these elements interacts on screens as we view them. We take a look at human factors and describe how the viewer physically interacts with images and the relative position of the body and the head in the viewing process ultimately providing optimal parameters in a system design. We then examine each type of screen material and delve into the dynamics of reflection, dispersion, scattering, etc. We examine each of the display technologies and how they are represented on a projection screen and we define and look at how specifications should be looked at from a critical perspective. Finally we look at each type of screen (front, rear, specialty) and how they perform in various applications.

Did you know that digital out-of-home advertising is the fastest growing portion of the advertising market behind the Internet? Did you know you could take advantage of this trend through your digital signage sales efforts and establish a reoccurring revenue opportunity for your company? Learn how NEC and VUKUNET are taking advantage of these new trends by combining the power of our "channel" with the rise in popularity of "out of home" advertising to launch an exciting new business for the 21st century. In addition, this seminar will serve as a dealer authorization for NEC’s new business platform in the digital out-of-home space.
