ABC 7 Hudson Square

At DetaiLED® we were deeply engaged from early technical design through final commissioning of the LED display infrastructure integrated into the new headquarters at 7 Hudson Square — a landmark studio and production facility for ABC News, ESPN and related Disney operations. Working in conjunction with FUSE Technology Group (who served as AV-systems integrator and design partner) and other collaborators (set designer teams, lighting-design firms, studio robotics providers, etc.), we provided the direct-view LED video walls, LED-floor elements and dynamic video-volume backdrops that anchor the storytelling environment.

For example, the flagship Studio B (home to The View and Tamron Hall) features floor-wrapping LED surfaces and full-wall LED volumes, powered by broadcast-grade control systems, which we supplied and integrated alongside FUSE's broader AV infrastructure platform.

Leveraging our expertise in high-resolution LED displays optimized for live-broadcast lighting, we collaborated closely with FUSE to align the display-architecture with the studios’ multi-show production requirements, IP-based distribution, HDR workflows and future-proof scalability. Our scope included engineering the display modules for seamless integration with the set design (by Clickspring Design for the WABC set, for example), developing calibration workflows to meet broadcast colour-space and brightness requirements, and coordinating mounting, maintenance access and serviceability within the live-studio schedule. Additionally we supported the commissioning process — including final uniformity verification, firmware‐validation and on‐site tuning with the lighting and camera teams — ensuring the visual performance met the high-end expectations of a major network suite.

In essence, DetaiLED®’s role was to supply the visual “canvas” — the flexible, high-impact LED media surfaces — while working hand-in-hand with FUSE Technology Group, the set & scenic teams, and lighting/production engineers to deliver a future-ready broadcast ecosystem at 7 Hudson Square that supports ABC’s flagship news and talk-programming.

Baylor University Hurd Welcome Center

Located in the heart of the Baylor campus in Waco, Texas, this state-of-the-art facility provides a central hub for admissions, campus tours, and information sessions. The center is known for its friendly and knowledgeable staff who are eager to showcase the university's rich history, vibrant campus life, and academic offerings. With its modern architecture and welcoming ambiance, the Hurd Welcome Center embodies Baylor's commitment to excellence and community, making it an essential stop for anyone looking to explore all that this prestigious institution has to offer.

For this project, DetaiLED™ was tasked to build a dome display mounted on the ceiling and a suspended spiral display. A curved LED display at 4mm pixel pitch presents several challenges between pixel uniformity, manufacturing complexity, calibration, and content mapping.

The dome display faced additional challenges being in direct sunlight, which washed out the display from that angle. Adjustments had to be made in order to compensate for the lack of visibility. The dome features a 1.8mm display, giving exceptional detail.

The spiral display had to be mapped properly in order for the content to flow correctly, which meant the direction and geometry of the spiral had to be exact. DetaiLED™ worked very closely with content partners to ensure the right flow of content.

Also prominently featured within the Welcome Center is a captivating LED video wall, serving as a focal point that seamlessly combines artistry with utility. This video wall at 1.5mm, characterized by its high-resolution LED panels, presents a canvas for dynamic multimedia content, captivating visitors with visually engaging presentations, educational materials, and real-time information. The advanced LED technology ensures vibrant colors, sharp contrasts, and impeccable clarity, elevating the overall ambiance of the center.

Collectively, the LED installations at Baylor University's Mark & Paula Hurd Welcome Center reflect a meticulous synthesis of design, technology, and purpose. International Cruise Line

DetaiLED® Solutions was presented with the challenge of creating a moving display, capable of transforming a large atrium space into a multifunctional auditorium. While maintaining the function of the ocean view through the large atrium window wall, the DetaiLED® team was able to engineer moving  LED screens which disappear into the stage when not in use. While in use, the screens function as a range of entertainment props - from theatre backdrops, game time score cards, welcome signs, and more.
