PT-MZ882 Series features a SOLID SHINE Laser light source that does not require maintenance until 20,000 hours. By contrast, comparable lamp projectors need several lamp changes in an equivalent period, adding to maintenance costs, labor, downtime, and waste.

The PT-MZ882 Series has a refined optical engine that boosts light output over the previous series, Digital Light Control to optimize Dynamic Contrast performance, and Daylight View Basic to adjust image quality according to ambient room light.

Widescreen conferencing software layouts can be output from a PC to a PT-MZ882 Series projector so that remote participants appear along the bottom of the screen at eye level to those seated in the room, improving communication fluency.

Auto Power On function powers the projector on and resumes playback automatically when an input signal is detected, even if the unit is shut down. Presenters can pause and resume their program without significant interruption, and administrators reap energy savings across their schools or businesses
